Why is it when sometimes I do a blind scan it seems to hang on a feq for a LONG time...it always seems to get past it, but might hang for 15-30min.....

I have a Pansat 2700a
Thanks
MD

It is a known issue with several receivers that they hang during a blind scan. usually it is a DBS TP with a SR of 20000 or higher or a data TP that causes the problem.

I personally stop the scan at that point, manually scan the transponder that it was stuck on, verify there is no video, then delete that trans. then do a blind scan again. I've never had video on any transponder that my receiver had been 'hung up' on.

is it on a specific satellite?

KNown ones are on IA6...

AMC9 and those data channels can hang it too

Yeah, right off the bat, I know 12060 freezes up on IA6.

You just have to remove it when you do a channel scan.
