Not much in the way of details of specs, but encouraging signs that they may have deep color and improved gamma in the 4k UHD specs.

It is hard enough to make a dual-layer BD. 4k would require at least a 4-layer disc. The BD manufacturing process is a nightmare compared to DVD and the now-defunct HD-DVD. Even the newly-announced Singulus BluLine III will only be able to place three layers. The link shows the BluLine II, which does one or two layers, and is complicated enough. There are 4 points where contamination is an issue at the spin-bowls. Imagine adding another embosser and the associated coating and curing station. I'd be surprised if the pass-rate gets above 40% for the BluLine III.

They sell 4 layer BDXL burners and media (although the media is $50 on Amazon) already, with HEVC and 100GB they could go a long way with 4k....
