No kidding.
I remember the old days when they claimed Dishnetwork and DirecTV had DVD quality picture and sound. Least they realized they can't keep saying that...
FTA on the other hand I've noticed, IS still better quality in most cases. Even with 30% "quality" strength, I still have a hard time seeing pixelation and artifacts that are easily apparent on DishNetwork with even 90%+
