Well, woke up early, did some reading, it seems WHDH out of Boston (NBC affil) went online w/ a new Digital control center, could this mean HD newscasts?

Also, they fired (bad move if you ask me!) there head meterologist, todd gross (some are saying he was too old) which would go with a HD upgrade I'd think (they are 'moving in a new direction') and hate to say it, but most of the 'old' people are gone (the good ones too)

Anyone have any info on this?

Also a while back I heard a rumor that they were in talks to go O+O, but that = all I heard

Thanks
CJ

I read channel 7 would be first also...I am trying to find the link.

I agree about Todd Gross...he was a good one but not young enough to look good in HD I guess

Yeah, he was very into the weather , and did a good job! However it would be nice to see WHDH go hd within a year or so, if there a digi control room, whats left? some cameras and wires? (If there not already there, because imho there digi news broadcast does look well!)

But iirc, someone else in boston weather a few yrs back sued for age discrimination, and won, got some $$$ too!
