I thought this was great news for Brighthouse Cable Subscribers, 12 channels of On demand favorites from A&E to G4TechTV at no additional cost for digital cable subscribers.

One way for cable to duplicate the analog channels to digital is with ON Demand and they have done it with some of these 12 channels.

Maitland, FL--Bright House Networks has launched a new type of “On Demand” programming service, Favorites on Demand, which makes popular programs available at no additional charge to Digital Cable TV customers.

Favorites on Demand, with shows available from more than a dozen programmers including A&E On Demand, Comedy Central on Demand and HGTV on Demand, is exclusive to Bright House Networks Digital Cable TV customers and began on Oct. 13.

The service offer 12 channels of on-demand content located on channels 301-312.

Since Favorites on Demand functions just like other On Demand services from Bright House Networks, customers are able to start programs anytime and pause, fast forward and rewind them as they are watching.

Favorites on Demand is a series of channels starting on channel 301. This service provides customers with the best programming from some of their favorite networks at any time, day or night. Favorites on Demand consists of programming from the following networks:

- A&E on Demand, channel 301, including “Biography,” series, original movies, and documentaries

- BBC America on Demand, channel 302, including the shows, “Changing Rooms” and “Absolutely Fabulous”

- Cartoon Network on Demand, channel 303, featuring kid’s programming from Cartoon Network and Boomerang

- CNN Showcase on Demand, channel 304, including “Crossfire” and “Larry King Live”

- Comedy Central on Demand, channel 305, with popular programming from the network

- Court TV on Demand, channel 306, including dramas, documentaries, and forensic science programming

- DIY on Demand, channel 307, including how-to and hobby-related programs for those with special interests

- Food Network on Demand, channel 308, including recipes and high-energy highlights

- G4TechTV on Demand, channel 309, including help and how-to shows, game reviews, Anime, documentaries and news specials

- Kids on Demand, channel 310, including programming from PBS Kids, Cartoon Network and Boomerang

- Home and Garden Television (HGTV) on Demand, channel 311, including decorating, building, gardening and crafts from house makeovers to planting

“Favorites on Demand gives our Digital Cable TV customers on-demand access to great shows from their favorite networks at their convenience, with no additional charge,” said Chris Fenger, President of Bright House Networks’ Central Florida Division. “It is an expansion of the increasingly popular On Demand technology that further adds value for our Digital customers.”
