I purchased one about 2 yrs ago, I think ?
Well I got my but in gear and installed on a 10' mesh dish.

I originally purchased it to use with a 922 4DTV receever.
Its a big box, takes up alot of room to set on the stand with the tv.
so rite now i just got the actuator connected to move dish.

I hooked it up like this.
to use single cable to the CW800...

From the BSC 621 pdf manual..

Looking at the diagram, you will see the Ku
connection is at the end of the BSC621. Using
the Coax Jumper, connect it to the port marked
“LNB” on the side of the BSC621. Connect the
coax that delivers signal to your receiver to the
remaining port, marked “RCV”.

The band switching is accomplished by 22KHz
sent from your receiver. Setting your receiver
22KHz to “0” will give you C-band, and setting
your receiver 22KHz to “22KHz” will give you
Ku-band

what i dont get is the last part,
band switching

on CW800
22KHz is either ON, OFF, or Auto..

Should it be OFF for C-band ?
and ON for Ku ?


Another question,

Diseqc Number,

seeing as its only one cable and not going thru 4 in 1 switch

the Diseqc settings in menu are:
LNB 1, 2, 3 ,4,
Burst A
Burst B
None
Auto

not sure on settings

Got to identify which lnb you have, The (BSC)621 uses 22khz for band switching, the 621-2 uses diseqc.

As per the instructions you've supplied, the 621 would require 22KHz to “0” (OFF) to give you C-band, and setting 22KHz to “22KHz” (ON) will give you Ku-band. With the Diseqc setting to None

The 621-2 would require 22KHz to “0” (OFF) and the Diseqc set to LNB 1 for Cband, LNB 2 for Ku.

I almost got one of these, but my BUD doesn't do Ku. (sigh)

Cut ku on and leave c off, and make sure the disqu is off. That's all there is to the 621-1.
Then try scanning a couple of satellites. You'll figure it out quickly.
 
thanx guys.

now another thing I'm confused on

declination

My Latitude: 40.7934°

According to the charts here ; Footprints by Dish Size - Latitude Declination Chart - C/Ku-Band Satellite Listing

Bottom chart anyway...

Elevation angle (40.65) + (5.63) declination offset = declination angle (46.28) ??? Am I correct on that ??


my brain is just oozing out my ears rite now....

I dont get home till its dark out, and I'm out there with a flash lite between my teeth messing around for an hour or 2.

this weekend dont look to promising either..
