Cable Rejects Low-Power TV Must Carry

Washington -- Cable operators are rejecting a proposal by Federal Communications Commission chairman Kevin Martin that would allow hundreds of local TV stations to demand cable carriage for the first time

I would support must-carry for Class A stations, as they are required to not only carry E/I programming just like full power TV, but they also must commit to carrying local programming. I'm sure that with cable carriage, they would be able to invest a lot more in producing local programming.
