can you record ota hd with the dish network hd dvr622

Im assuming that you get the 622 dvr with a new customer install. the customer rep told me that you couldnt.

Yes if you have an antenna connected to it and can receive digital signals OTA. I am not sure about analog. I do it all the time. You can record two channels and one OTA channel at the same time.

answer me this... do you have any issues with the 622? are you only using the dish 1000? just wondering because I am in louisiana and wondering if you are experiencing any issues with the 129 satellite that I read about on here... or would you suggest using 61.5 or whatever?

129 is fine here in Indy, its mostly the West Coast that has major 129 issues. Personally I have NONE......someone else can tell you whether louisiana can see the 129 or not as I can't seem to remember.

I'm near St. Louis & have a Dish1000 with no issues on 129. My 622 has been flawless, but not as software convenient as my old D* HD TiVo. Overall, E* is enough better for me than D* to put up with the lack of a few features that TiVo has. Ideally, E*+TiVo would be primo!!
