I ordered service tonight for a Tuesday install in Dallas. I thought I ordered 2 HD-DVRs but when I followed up was informed 1 was a HD-DVR and the other was a HD receiver.

I really need the 2 HD DVRs. Looks like I can go and purchase a second one at a local retailer, no rebate on 2nd one and pay a 2nd installation charge.

Any other options?

Doug

Does anyone out there have 2 HD-DVR units in their homes?

Are there any gotchas I need to watch for if I have a 2nd unit installed as a separate install?

I will have 5 total units - I know each standard has a cable and the 2 dvrs have 2 feeds for a total of 7..

Any assistance from those in the know would help.

Doug,

If you do not get the second HD DVR with your initial order and installation you will also need the technician to run a second coax cable to accommodate the dual tuner operation and a 4x8 multi-switch.

What do you plan on doing with the HD receiver DIRECTV is sending you?
