Centre Ice

I'm pretty set on *C but am amazed that a canuck provider wouldn't carry centre ice. Any good explanations or insight is appreciated. :shocked

Money is the reason - they think they would lose big $ - unless the NHL is prepared to lower the asking price. The transponder and uplink costs would be $250,000/month alone. In addition, under the terms of the agreement; they would have to blackout OTA games on non CBC stations to non CI subs - something they refuse to do.

There were maybe a dozen games (Ottawa) on OTA. NO OTHER Canadian team had any OTA games.
