"BreakfastTelevision", "CityLine", "CityNews at Noon", "CityNews at Six" and "CityNews at 11" will be broadcast in high definition, beginning in September, 2006.

With its announcement, Citytv is positioning itself to deliver the first daily newscast in Canada broadcast in HD.

The announcement from CHUM Limited marks the latest in a ongoing series of HD initiatives for CitytvHD Toronto, carried on Rogers (Channel 134) and Bell ExpressVu (Channel 803).
