Is there anyway to program a 21.1 remote so it's a "one button press" for closed captioning on/off? I just counted, and it takes over a dozen button presses to turn captioning on and return to programming.

The four colored buttons on the remote would be a great location.

You might try the green button. That works on other remotes.

I thought just pushing the mute button brought up CC but maybe that was a function of my TV.

That is a TV function. Dish receivers never did that.

No luck. Yellow did HD format, Blue did SD format, Red and Green did nothing.
