Comcast cable signal thru 811?

I have comcast cable in order to have the ability to record locals on my dvd recorder when I am watching and/or recording with my 501 dvr.

If I get the 811 and connect the comcast cable signal to it, will the 811 be able to send HDTV signals from the comcast signal?

If you mean "will the 811 be able to decode HD signals from Comcast" then, unfortunately, the answer is no.
