Since returning to the air following the start of the writers’ strike, ratings for Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart have been flat or registered some gains, while The Colbert Report has seen rather steady and substantial growth.

Colbert is funny as hell and pokes fun at everyone while not really pushing his own agenda. That is why he sis succesful. Unlike Dennis Miller who used to be funny and now tries to be a Limbaugh wanna be with the old anger rant about things he doesn't know.
