I have a 22 inch lcd (1680x1050) monitor with PIP. It has composit, component, s-video and dvi inputs. Im trying to hook up my dish network receiver(vip 211) to it and it just says "no sync" their's no picture. I can hook it up with the composite cables and it works fine. I dont have a dvi to hdmi cable or i'd try that but all im trying to get to work right now is the component if any one has any suggestions i would love to hear them. Thank You

Solved

As it turns out you can't have a VGA input to your monitor and A component input at 1080i with PIP. So I switched the receiver to 480i and wala it worked. If i switch inputs all together to the component input on the monitor no VGA I can watch 1080i on the monitor. So its sort of pointless with the picture in picture and component. I will just use the composite input for PIP and hook the dvd player to the component input and use the 42' to watch TV. I hope this will help someone sometime. Thanks

P.S I was bored when i got off work.
