connect MRV to router with cascaded splitters?

I have 6 tuners (2 HR24 DVRs and 2 H24 standalone receivers) all with their dedicated lines from a 1x8 SWM "green labeled" splitter. Can I connect the system to my network with the following approach.


dish----swm 1x8--------swm 1x2--------H24
|
|
--------------DECA+pwr supply-------router

I don't want to run another cable from my 1x8, which is located outside.

Sorry if this is explained some other place..... I couldn't find a post about it.

the DECA+pwr supply exits the 1x2. for some reason, my posting above didn't come out correctly

What you want to do will work. The 1X2 splitter should also be a "green label" type. Any unused ports on the 1X8 should be terminated.

perfect. thanks for the help!

yep, all of my unused 1x8 ports are terminated. without them, I am sure the reflections on the coax will reduce signal margin significantly.
