low frequency 10.75

WELCOME to the SatelliteGuys.US FTA forum, I would recommend removing the motor for now and finding and storing your true south satellite first.

I would use AMC 2/16 85.0W, not a lot on that satellite so you would have to ask here before pointing for a LIVE TP./Channel.

All the motor angles look good.

my sat dont have 85 west on it it goes from 84 to87 do i need to add it some how?

Yes there should be a way to add a satellite (check the manual) , but any satellite close by will work. Let us know when you are just about to point the dish and someone will scan the satellite and give you a live TP./Channel. If its not listed on Lyngsat we can PM you a live one!

going to radio shack to make sure my lnbf is good and see if they have a sat finder. i will be back in 45 min and will than be ready to aim it. the manual i have is as good as a fire starter. not sure how to manualy add it totaly new to this. didnt think it was going to be such a challange. i dont even know how to add channel list i amaging with the stb program. is there a read me for setting up a coolsat and a hh90 motor. bought everything from go satellite and they refered me to this page.

thanks

hh90

the manual that came with the hh90 said to set as i did in the first post. than go to usals pick closest satelite than tweak in done. haha no signal at all.

:) Sadoun has great support for the products they sell, was one of the first web sites I visited when getting into DVB. You will learn a lot from there....

http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Products/STAB/HH90-Stab-HH-Diseqc-USALS-Motor.htm

Dont think Radio Shack will be able to tell you if the LNB is OK, they do not deal with KU band satellite (Yet) 99% of the time the LNBF is OK, its always the first thing to be blamed and usually the last thing to be the problem.

Make sure the L.O. is set to 10750 in the antenna setup screen, find and store the true south satellite, then add the motor. Use usals, then refind the satellite and you are done!

Thats a C-Band satellite so will not work for you!

Have another look at Lyngsat....

Four digit Freq. are C-Band

Five digit Freq. are KU Band (what you have)

ok i got 82 to come in i get 4 channels but when i turn to diffrent satellite nothing step 2.

gbn tv1 12143v nimiq service 1 and one other which is a black screen. is this 82?

Sounds like you probably have 82. There should be a couple (maybe a few) audio channels there as well.

It's either 82 or 91 (since the Nimiq reference) but if its 91 there will be plenty (a couple of dozen) audio channels. That's my true south bird :)
