I ran my RG6 cables down from the dish and now I can't remember which LNB is which. I can move the cables from the ground and see which LNB they are going to, however, for the-life-of-ME, I can't remember if the C is the one closest to the servo (blue box) or is it the one clear out on the end.

My ladder isn't tall enough for me to read the labels on each LNB.

A little help, will save me having to swing the dish around a borrow the taller ladder.

Thanks,

Steve

Corotor Question

I found the manual on the Corotor and it showed me which LNB is which.

Thanks.

Corotor Question (answer)!

I could be selfish and not disclose the actual answer to other forum readers.

However, being a "nice guy", I will share.

The C LNB is on the "most outboard" end of the Chapperal feed horn. The Ku LNB is mounted nearest to the blue servo box.

Now I must put a tag or piece of tape on the other end of the one cable before I forget and ultimately put the cover on the feed horn assemble. (Yes, I do actually have a cover. Something commonly missing from "Free" BUDs.)

Thanks

Steve

I don't have a picture of your particular unit.
There seem to have been many designs over the years, from all the manufacturers.
The one with the bigger plumbing is C-band.
The Ku-band LNB will have a smaller flange and waveguides.
Here are some examples, but they only scratch the surface.
.... and , it's possible you couldn't see them well from the ground, depending on how high up the dish was.

Your idea of marking the cables is a good one. - :up
In the past, many folks have posted their tricks for knowing which cable is which.
I've used various color tie-wraps, or 1, 2, 3 tie-wraps.
Some have used colored tape or heat-shrink.
There were many other great ideas suggested.
