OMAHA - For the seventh consecutive season, Cox Communications is sponsoring Home Run for Youth Day at Rosenblatt Stadium. Thousands of area school kids will receive a ticket to attend the Omaha Royals game vs. the Albuquerque Isotopes at Rosenblatt Stadium on Thursday, April 13th at 11:05 a.m., courtesy of Cox Communications.

All K-12 students in the Cox Communications service area have been invited to the game. With RSVP's still being accepted, over 7,000 kids from 43 schools have already signed up, according to Cox Communications spokesperson Kelly Sare.

"Cox Communications Home Run for Youth Day with the Omaha Royals has become a tradition," said Sare. "Schools start calling the first of the year to reserve the day on their calendar. We receive dozens of thank you notes every year from students that otherwise wouldn't have had the opportunity to attend a baseball game."

In addition to the tickets, Cox Communications also gives participating schools study guides about baseball.

At this year's Home Run for Youth Day, students from Harrison Elementary School will sing the National Anthem. One student will be chosen at random to throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

The game will also be televised live on Cox Cable Channel 2.
