I could have sworn it was on this fourm that I read about a custom sub enclosure built into the floor using a plate amp. Was complete with full specs and pics. If that is correct I can't find the old thread anymore. Was about 6 - 8 months ago.
Anways, I just bought a plate amp and would like to build a custom enclosure for it and have it in the floor accessable below in the basement. No large box visible in my living room, no space limitations ect.
The amp is 280W at 8 ohms and 573 W at 4 ohms.
I was thinking of going with a 15" sub @ 4 ohms but could also go with 2 12"'s @ 8 ohms each for a total load of 4 ohms.
Not sure what way to go with this or enclosure design. I just know I want to build something and have fun doing it.
Anybody have any thoughts or suggestions on this?
