d11 switch to off-air

Okay...i'm new again to the satellite market...since i haven't had d* for about 6 years now. I've just recently had a D11 receiver installed...and ran my basic cable line into the off-air input on the receiver for back-up. Now..my question is..how can I switch to the off-air input? I still haven't figured this out!

Turn the D11 off, and there you have your OTA. It's a passthrough, it does not intergrate the OTA channels in the D11 in any way sans the hard connection.

D11 on = D* Channels
D11 off = OTA/Cable/Etc

hell why didn't i think of that? LOL. my old sony receiver had a switch on it...and made it pass through. Thanks
