Just got this in my email...
Effective Thursday, October 21, 2004 by 12:00 noon ET, Daystar will no longer be available nationally on DISH Network channel 9408. Dominion/Sky Angel has enforced its contractual right to prohibit DISH Network from carrying this channel on a national basis.

However, in 12 local DMA's, Daystar will be available to subscribers of America's Top 60 and above at no additional cost. In the 12 markets listed below, Daystar can be found on DISH Network Channel 9408 on the satellite located at the 110 position.

Boston
Honolulu
Oklahoma City
Charleston, WV
Houston
Phoenix
Dallas
Indianapolis
Seattle
Denver
Little Rock
St. Louis

Also effective Thursday, October 21, 2004 by 12:00 noon ET, DISH Network will launch a new channel (9405), which will carry EPG language and a slate to communicate this change to customers that will no longer have access to Daystar.

Channel #: 9405

EPG Call Letters: DAY

DISH Network sincerely regrets any inconvenience.

So, any DISH customer with the AT 60 or more in one of those markets can still find the Daystar channel on 9408? Even if not buying locals from DISH? Doesn't sound fair to the other ota channels in those markets.

I think it was probably implying AT60w/locals and up, since most people have the locals combo these days anyways...

Actually Scott, channel 9408 is available to all subscribers in the cities listed with or without locals as long as they have AT60, Dish Latino 2 or higher. On the flip side, channel 9408 is NOT available to subscribers in these cities if they only have locals or any other international packages.

See ya
