Dead 942

My 11 month old 942 died this morning.

would not play any recorded shows so I did a front panel reset (soft boot) = Black screen, reboot, Black screen, reboot, Black screen, reboot, Black screen, reboot..... went into disc diagnostic then continued with reboot cycle.

front panel reset no good, unplug reset no good. disc diagnostic no good

Dish sending new 942 (probably refurb). would not replace with 622 and charged me $14.95 for shipping of new unit.

Great. Their leased receiver fails and I have to pay for a new one to be shipped to me....

Try unplugging the Sat cables, this may at least allow you to watch the recorded programs.
