We get the German-Language Package now for $16.99. I've been watching ch. 725, GermanTV, like crazy since i know it is going to end at mid-night tomorrow. Ch. 725 is going to be 100% DW-TV after jan. 1st.

GermanTV used to be ZDF, ARD and other german programming in addition to DW.

i'm going to miss ZDF programs. i'm going to miss you ZDF! :(

I hope that DW-TV is good. Maybe this'll make ch. 725 even better than before.

By the looks of the previews of DW-TV in january, I think it might be!

Where is DW (Deutsche Welle) being transmitted OTA (Over the air)?

Not even in Germany!

i watched ch.725 last night with the germantv logo in the upper corner and now today there's a DW in the corner. i don't think i'm ever going to see the former again. at 7:30am PST ch. 725 was in german but now around 8:30am it's in English. we'll see how this goes.

FTA means Free To Air. Check out this section: http://www.satelliteguys.us/forumdisplay.php?f=24

Basically if you buy a FTA receiver, a 30+" dish and a motor mount you can get alot of free channels. Almost every satellite has channels that are not encrypted and if you point your dish to the satellite and do a scan, you can watch them. This is 100% legal since the channels are not encrypted. Starting tomorrow or friday, I will have access to tons of the olympic feeds.
