OK what happen to WPVI - Ch6? I have had all the local station OTA programed into my 2 211K s and 411 with no problems. After last night I had to re-scan to fine WCAU CH 10 but can't find Ch 6. According to the FCC database it appears they may be using their VHF channel and if I read it right their web site says the same thing.

I thought all of the old VHF channels were relocating to the new UHF assignments.

no. Lots of stations in VHF HI (7-13) are moving back there. Here in Minneapolis Fox & NBC are moving from 26 & 35 back to the analog spot of 9 & 11

There are even some stations moving back to VHF Lo

Wait until later tonight...If they are mvoing there may be a delay in getting the transmitter turned back up on the new spot

Iceberg, thanks for the info. I had heard that was going to happen. What a pain in the A%#!. I will have to set up an antenna switch to go between my big UHF antenna I put up just for this and my older VHF antenna.

Problem solved! I had a small antenna on the roof for my older TVs to receive VHF locals. Well It is working great for the new digital switch over. Both VHF and UHF are pretty good. Before "counting my chickens" I will wait for a good rain storm and see wait rain fade does.

VHF should be affect

VHF channels shouldn't be affected by rain fade. The freq is too long to have much problem with rain. Now that doesn't say there won't be problems as in their link between the station & the transmitter. We have some problems with that occasionally.

I have a u/v mixer to mix my antennas, I think they are around 5 bucks at radio shack. Also WRGB went back to ch 6 in Albany,( there are 4 digital transmitters in the VHF band in this market) and rain fade is not a big problem but lighting strikes cause problems in the low band. especially. There was a big storm last night and for awhile it was not watchable at my house.
