I am trying to figure out where to put my inline amp for my OTA antenna. Should I put it close to the antenna and then combine that signal and my sat signal into one cable and then diplex it back out at my receiver or should I combine the OTA signal and sat signal then diplex it out near my receiver and then hook up the amp to the diplexed OTA signal. Does diplexing afect picture quality? What is the best brand of diplexers?

And the answer is: It might be better EITHER way - it just depends on many unknowable factors.

I think I would put it near the antenna (note: you can NOT run power through any other devices (switches, diplexers, etc.).

Diplexing CAN be aproblem with PQ, but usually is not. Can't help ya with brands.

Lost HD channels on 110

Signal on odd transponders on 121 getting lower
