Direct TV Dish to Dish Network

I Have a Direct TV dish Terk TRK S2 18 W X 20 H dish.
If i purchase a dish network reciever and subscribe to Dish network can I use my existing Direct TV dish?

AS A BOAT ANCHOR, the Phase 3 dish uses incompatible switching technology for DISH Network. If you are signing up as a new DISH customer you get a new dish and free installation.

He means that the Phase III dish won't work. Since you are a new customer just sign up for Dish and they will install the correct dish and will give you new receivers to use. You are only a new customer once so use it to get the receivers and equipment that you want now because it's like pulling teeth if you don't.
