Hey everyone I was just offered a job to be a direct tv installer and I was just wondering if it is possible to make good money doing it was wondering on average how many jobs a day mosy people get thanks for any information on the topic

Its not with directv that you would be installing, it is a sub contractor or an RSP that you would be working for. Directv does not have its own installation department like Dish Network does or Comcast or Charter or Time Warner or Brighthouse. Each sub contractor and RSP pays diferently, for instance there is a dbs contractor in the north georgia area that is only paying $5.15 an hour and thats total crap wages for the work involved. Generaly you can expect a pay by the job situation and the norm seems to be $75/$25 mostly now.

If your looking for hourly wages and benefits then your best bet is to get on with Dish or Comcast who tend to pay the best hourly wages and have the best benefits though I dont recommend working directly for Dish in the Detroit market as the general manager for the area and the office manager for Wixom/Ann Arbor leave alot to be desired. Expect to make $13 an hour starting at Dish now and about $12 an hour with Comcast, Comcast has pre employment testing that includes math skills that you wont ever use on the job so be sure to brush up on all of your junior high and high school math such as fractions and decimals and advanced algebra. Dish only does a background check and a MVR check and is pretty easy to get into, just be sure to not get involved with any of the politics.

directv

yes..my husband and i install for dish and directv...we are private contractors...we work thru two diff. offices locally here in east texas..so local work..woohoo...dish pays more per job..and i personally prefer dish..but direct pays the bills too..it's all green..lol...we make 55.00 on a single then 25.00 per box after that...with dish we are making..75.00...and 25.00 per box after that...so we make a really nice living..now when the holidays roll around..you can expect it to slow down some..as well as when school starts...but that's typical with any job...but the rest of the time...we stay busy..and we just got our locals here on dish..so that really has helped...no problem paying the bills...i will tell you...MOST OF THE INSTALLATION FOR EITHER...IS COMMON SENSE STUFF...i think ppl try to make it harder than it is...just slow down and think about what you are doing..what you are trying to achieve...and you can do it...best job we have had by far...hubby was an exhaust specialist for almos 30 years..has had 3 ppl approach him to open another muffler shop here in town...he runs it...no work...tells everyone else what to do..he said no...he enjoys installing that much....he doesn't miss work...we love the freedom...just all around great job i think...hope this helps out some...p/nzzz:p
