You seem to have summarily dismissed Sling as a viable option in a thread weighing options and your dismissal was based on a rather peculiar condition.
I didn't suggest that the fans were peculiar. Promoting soccer/cricket/footie coverage as an make or break condition for choosing a programming provider is extraordinary.

You seem to have summarily dismissed Sling as a viable option in a thread weighing options and your dismissal was based on a rather peculiar condition.
The criteria might make sense for a Brit (or anyone else who has become a soccer fan for any reason) but that's not the question. The question is whether or not EPL (or similar) is a widely held criteria for most who subscribe to US pay TV.
It doesn't seem all that likely that someone living in Iowa with a handle of Bronxiniowa might be a Brit but again, that's a matter of percentages.
I don't care if Sling Tv is owned by Dish or not, it's not a real video provider for the fact they do not have a full channel lineup. You compare Dish, Directv, cable they all offer similar channels and packaging.
As far as I'm concerned it's just another toy. A Netflix subscription has far better value and is cheaper.
