directv channel to satellite mapping

where can I find out which satellite a directv channel like TVLAND is received on, and which transponder on that satellite? Directv's website was not very helpful.

Are directv's majority of channels on 101W or 119W?

Not sure how up to date this is, but try this. http://www.widemovies.com/dtvtransponders.html
Most of their national programming and locals from the larger cities is on 101. 119 is used mostly for locals from the smaller markets.

TVLAND is on the 101, transponder 6.

If you have a TiVo, tune to the channel in question and then check signal strength. It will show the the satellite and transponder. Don't know if it works on other types of receivers or not.
