I only have one HD receiver for Directv, but am having a Super Bowl party Sunday. I want to move one of my other receivers into another room, on the same floor as my HD receiver. Problem is the HD receiver is about 3 seconds behind my non-HD receivers. I don't want people in the other room (cheering and clapping), giving away what is happening in the game, before we see it on the HD TV.

Is there anything I can do to delay the signal on the non HD receivers, so they are not ahead of my HD receiver?

Nope.

I am sure there is a delay device in existance somewhere that can do this, but it would have to hold the video in memory or on a hard drive and play it back later, which is what your DVR does.

A better approach would be to use diplexers to back feed the Ch 3 output of the HD unit back to the dish and reroute the signal to the other TV. You could also just run a cable through the house if it is not too unsightly.
