Directv Uplink?

Why does Directv have no uplink report every week like Dish does??

Dish uses the open DVB standard making it easy to do uplink reports. While DIRECTV uses its own closed system which makes it a lot harder.

We tried in the past to do DIRECTV uplink reports but it was alot of guessing and wrong information because a lot of it was a guess froom the data we saw.

I am sure Digiblur can give you a better explination of the specifics if you need them.

I was working on something to do this, Directv's transmission system makes it harder to do uplink reports, as Its harder to map out each bird due to the tables being specific for each bird. I ran out of time working on this project and want to revive it back soon, but by the looks of it (maybe I'm wrong) you need an engineering card in order to map out what is going on, as the reciver only sees what your authorized. Pulling the card out hasnt worked for me like how it has for others.
