Last night, I re-aligned my dish to 101W. My setup is now a dish at 101W and a dish at 119W, and I have a 4x1 Diseqc switch connecting both of these to my Viewsat Ultra Lite. Here's the problem...

~Each one works when individually plugged into my receiver.
~If I use the diseqc 4x1, I plug in 101W to port 1 and it works fine.
~I plug in 119W to any other port (2-4) and it doesn't work. 101W still works fine.
~If I unplug 101W from the diseqc, 119W works fine on all ports of the switch.

What would be causing this? I thought the Diseqc switch was bad, but it works perfectly fine on every port as long as they aren't both plugged in at the same time. I was messing with the 119W settings and some of the TPs were coming up and saying they were on 101W AMC4. It was working fine before I moved the one dish to 101W and I make sure to always flip the power switch on the back of my receiver before unplugging/plugging anything. I'm guessing the switch is bad, but I wanted to see what you all think!

sounds like a cable issue that is possibly grounding out

If they both (101 and 119) work fine when individually plugged into the receiver, but only 101W works when both are plugged into the Diseqc switch, would this mean the 119W cable is grounding out?

I think I'm going to retire this 119W dish anyways. I'll be using another dish (and different cabling) for 119W as stated in my other thread I recently started about an AT9 Directv dish. The new dish will be closer to my other FTA dish and won't be on the roof like my current 119W dish is so I can finally give my dad his ladder back :)

Are these different dishes (lnbfs) slaved by chance? Ie powered other than through the switch???
I've not seen this with diseqC switches, but I have had problems with leakage of signal from unselected ports on 22KHz switches when both ports are slaved, and there is always signal at both ports. Ie I could receive either port properly if I removed the other port, but I couldn't receive when both ports were connected. This doesn't happen when powering the lnbfs through the switch. This didn't happen when I used a 2x1 diseqC switch.

Are you using 3 ports on the diseqc, ie 2 from the NJR2119F which has separate H&V output otherwise the 22hz signal will not support that H&V switching. I think the dishes both work seperately because the diseqc defaults to A on single conection and goes straight thru.

I am using a multiswitch to combine the H and V outputs before the Diseqc.
