I just installed a Digiwave Diseqc 2.0 switch , and
I am having problems. I am using it with a Samsung FTA receiver
which supports Diseqc 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2. I have 3 dishes attached.

The switching function works ok. I can switch between the dishes. However,
I am getting now what appear to be periodic glitches in the signal that show up as
pixelation in the image.
They go away if I bypass the switch and connect the
LNB directly. I also tried a few more things:

- I read somewhere that leaving one port on the switch unterminated has
side effects. I connected a 4th LNB to the port for termination purposes,
but did not see any improvement.

- The switch has a "Diseqc 2.0" label. Does this mean it is incompatible with
the previous standards? It also says it has 3db insertion loss and works in the
usual range up to 2150 mhz.

- My signal levels are quite high, and quality is at 90% (with or without
the switch). I see only miniscule change of the signal level by connecting the switch (around 1%), and no change in quality. It does not appear that
I have a weak signal situation.

Would this be a bad switch? Do you have a recommendation which are the good brands?

Also, can someone please explain the differences in the new Diseqc standards? I looked around a little bit, saw things about "committed" and "uncommitted" LNBs and got totally lost. My receiver menu has only
the option of choosing A,B,C,D.
