Dish 1000 dish and DP34

It is a controversial subject. While they do seem to work, they also seem to burn out when used in this config. I am assuming you mean DPP twins. The 1000.2 has a built in switch that is basically a DPP 43 switch. 4 orbitals, 3 outs. The DP34 will not support a seperator as it is not DPP, so a dual tuner would need 2 lines. No legacy support either with DP34s.

The setup would be 1000.2---DP34---DP34---2 lines to receivers. 5 722's total

You might have answered my question because I did not think of the 4 orbital locations. BTW what programming is on 118?

The reason it has to be like this is the way the house is wired. Every location in has has 2 wires so that is not a problem.

"The setup would be 1000.2---DP34---DP34---2 lines to receivers"

This will work fine, that's what I had for a while. The only reason I changed it was to add 61.5 to the DPP44. But you're saying 5 722s? That's 10 outputs you need and you have 8 with the 2 DP34s.

The 1000.2 is designed to look at 110, 119 and 129..no fss (118.75) Essentially it is a replacement for the D-1000.
The config is three orbital slots with 4 outputs. This can support up to 8 tuners.

???????
The integrated Dish 1000.2 LNB has 3 line outs and a LNB in 4th port that can be used to add a second dish for a 4th orbital. No it will not get the FSS 118 but can get a 4th DBS orbital. In my case I have the 1000.2 looking at 110,119,129, and 61.5. There are only 3 outputs, dual tuner capable so that would be 6 tuners.

This is just like a DPP twin with 3 ports, one LNB in, 2 sat lines out. 1000.2 is the same just 3 lines out, basically a DPP triple.

I didnt understand that the OP was planning to cascade 2 Dp34s off a 1000.2 integrated LNB. The 4th orbital is lost then but as someone said above 5 722's will need 10 lines so 3 Dp34's would be needed.

Yer right my fault. I looked that manual today to check my post..
However there is no single dish solution for 110, 119 129 and 61.5.
from...DISH Network Dish1000.2 Upgrade Kit....
The DISH 1000.2 receives signal
from the 110°, 119° and 129° DBS
orbital locations. The DISH Pro Plus
1000.2 LNBF supports three
receivers and includes an LNBF
input port for a fourth orbital
location.
In order to get the 4th slot you must have a wing dish. Which I imagine you do, and just forgot to mention it. No biggie.

Yeah I have a d300 at 61.5. I meant it all goes through the 1000.2 switch and works great so far. Your correct, no single dish solution, shouldnt need both 61.5 and 129. I just have 61.5 in case I lose 129 in the winter.

According to the 1000.2 install manual, only DPP switches are supported with the 1K.2 LNBF cluster. Not the DP34.

I'm not saying it won't work, just it's specifically forbidden if you follow the instructions.

Lose 129 in winter? Now you have me scratching my head. Ok, I'll bite..How does this happen?..BTW keep the 61.5. better sigs

Exactly. Thats why I have 61.5 because as soon as it gets to be bad weather the 129 drops. Unluckily for me my HD locals are on 129, but can get other HD programming off 61.5.
