Is it true that you cannot point a Dish 300 at 105°? I've heard it cannot be done but I was hoping to use my Dish 1000 to get 110,119, & 129. Com'on -- I hope sombody out there has firgured out a way to do it. I hate Superdishes -- if not I'll just have to wait for the locals to migrate to 110.

no due to 105 being FSS satellite you need that big of a reflector to get maximum signals. all other satellites are DBS.

The reason you can use a small dish for DBS is that the satellites are 9 degrees apart and run at about 2x the power of regular Ku satellites. You need a larger dish to focus in on a smaller point in the sky and avoid satellites 2 degrees away on both sides from being picked up and interfering with 105.
