I've read where a Dish pro switch ( like a dp34 or 44) cannot be used with legacy equipment. I was wondering if a dish 300 or an aftermarket larger antenna (winegard) with a dish lnb could be connected to a dp 34 or 44 without problems. Thanks

Legacy lnb will not work, nor is there any connections for antennia lines to either switch. Changing lnb will take care of dish 300. Antennia line has to be run all the way to the receiver/tv or you can use combiner/splitter to run part of way.

A sat dish is labeled as an antenna in alot of instances and the winegard he is refuring to is a generic dish hence the "aftermarket larger antenna (winegard) with a dish lnb".

tkorcal, that's true of receivers, not LNBFs. DishPro LNBFs only for the DPP44 but yes legacy receivers are supported.
