Help with my FTA

I am a newbie to the FTA universe and have found it all rather interesting. I have set up the coolsat 5000 to my Dish network 500 with a dual lnb. The lnb is 110 and 119. The problem is the signal strength is hovering between 25 to 40. I have tried repositioning the dish with limited success. The weirdest thing is that i removed the dish from the roof to verify connection setups and found that i am still recieving a signal of 25 to 40....how does this figure....help

Here is the response I got from the above member.........

"Thanks for a response, the channels are 110.0w echostar 6,8 and 119.0w Echostar 7. Other settings are LNB on, universal, Freq 9.75/10.6, 22 khz on auto. these settings are on both frequencies. The current strength is 30/14 %. The strange thing is the currnet allignment is reciving 116.8 satmex 5 at 65/20%. I must have my allignments off. What can you suggest. my location is up in Winnipeg...no snow yet ! Thanks again"
