Hey guys,

Just got my new 625 installed to day said that he need to change the LNB so he changed it with a dish pro plus. The LNB had 3 coaxl nubs to attach RG6 he said that he was only going to be using one plug and that the other one I could run some RG6 and install my 501 as a 3rd reciver in another room. sorry if this is a simple question but can I do that he said that no switch was needed and that I had an extra port on the LNB to add another box... I thought you needed add a switch to add a 3rd receiver what is you guys advice.

My set up is a 625 dual tuner with 1 tv in the living and 1 in the bed room I can watch and record indenpdent of each other I looked for some kind of switch under the house eve but nothing.

the LNB is a dish pro plus

The 3rd connector on a DPP Twin is an input for a 3rd satellite source. You are correct about needing to add a switch for a 3rd receiver, however in your post I only see mention of 2 receivers.

So, with the DPP Twin, 1 RG6 is run to the dual-tuner 625 where a DPP Separator directs the signals to the 2 tuner inputs. Another RG6 is run to the 501.
