DISH files SEC form 8-K with AMC-14 Comments

About the orbital tugs and whatnot, it's been thought of, but no recent news so they probably never got the needed funding, google ConeXpress. Was to be a solution that could be employed to extend the life of an existing satellite.

So with the necessary disclaimer that I know next to nothing about orbital mechanics... Is there even a remote possibility that the possible range of solutions would allow for placing the satellite in an alternate orbital slot? Just a random thought that I can't shake. ;)
Not that hard to move from one slot to another, just raise or lower the sat's altitude a little and it will drift east or west relative to the other sats.

Appears that there is a lot of posturing and spin control by Echostar/Dish from the statements at the beginning of this thread. Both of their stock prices are down today with the news of the failed launch, and there is quite a bit of mention of it in the business journals.

Words like "delay" and "some" attempt to paint a rosy picture, but most can see through that to know the battle has been lost.

:hatsoff: Good One!......Funny! :haha

IPTV has just as much limits as Sats due heck it takes longer due to they physically half to run the lines and install the proper hardware in those areas. Its all different from State to State and city by city Sat is allot better and heck most telcos and cable companies pull in their feeds off a Dish and just pipe it across their networks.. This is why some folks can get some services in their areas to where others can not..
