EPIX is a separate deal and was recently reupped.

Dish Network CEO Charlie Ergen didn’t say in so many words that he’s digging in his heels in his widely watched distribution carriage renewal talks with Viacom. But his general comments in his quarterly earnings call today left little doubt about his position

Yep...Let them watch on line or through other cord cut sources.
Kids spend a lot more time watching stuff on their tablets and computers anyway.
By kicking Viacom off the lineup, Ergen might be doing them a favor.

I can't remember the last time I watched a Viacom channel. I have a daughter that says all the good programming is gone. Besides sponge bob and I haven't seen that in awhile. So I would not miss them at all.
