Dish Network Package Question

On my account, I see that I can get the Top 120 package plus Dish Family for $59.98. What is the purpose of this package, other than the note that says adult programming is restricted with Dish Family? Aren't all the channels included in Classic Gold, and classic Gold is cheaper? Or is there something else about this package that I am missing?

When you login to Dish Network and you want to change programming. It is an option to bundle Top 120 with Dish Family.

I have never heard of such a promotion nor do I see the benefit of it.

It is $3 less than Top250 unless you add local RSN then it is $2 more to ensure no XXX. Has been available for some time.

Why not just lock out adult programming on the receiver in the menu then hide locked channels?

That is what I thought. So I couldn't figure out the advantage to this package over just getting the Top 250.

4 digit numeric password not a big challenge to crack, esp. for a kid.

That 120 pack with Dish family option isn't new.
Thats been an option for over a year, Maybe even 2 years.
Just the name 120 changed from 100.
