I just acquired a Dish Pro Twin LNBF it has two hook up points.
Does this have a built in SW or does it require something like a SW21 ?

All twin designated lnbfs and quad designated lnbfs have the basics of built in 21 switches either legacy, dish pro, and now dish pro plus. With any twin ( Im not yet sure of the dish pro plus, will have to try this ) you can cascade the twin through an actual 21 switch to incorporate a second dish.

dish pro plus allows a single cable to be ran to dual tuner receivers with a dish pro plus seperate.

Also the dish pro plus twin lnb, has an input for a 3rd satellite

Does this mean that in this case all three satellites from Dish1000 can be connected to DPP44 switch with just one cable?

No, you will have to run 3 coax from the dish 1000 and at that point its a waste of equipment to use a dpptwin with a dpp44.

If you have say a single receiver of either a single tuner or a dual tuner then you can take a dp dual and run a coax from it to the input port on the dpptwin and then a single coax from the out port of the dpptwin to said receiver.

I see. Thank you for the clarification. Actually I have to feed 3 TVs from 4 satellites so it would be 4 cables to the switch.

622 installed, have a question about receiving HD LiLs
