Before I purchase a birdog I was wondering if it's compatiable with the DPP Twin LNB. I heard users say you can peak in the Plus Lnb with the Birdog connected to Port 2. Does anyone know if this is true? Thanks.

No you can't use a DPP twin on a Birdog meter. Infact it will burn up the meter. We just use a regular DP twin to peak then put on the DPP.
If you have a RX hooked to port one of DPP you can use the birdog on port 2 to tune it. I usually just use a DP twin and then put in the DPP.
You will love the birdog, although I no longer can get mine to find "found" for the 129 sat. But overall I think it's an awsome meter.

Yes, the new version 5.1.6 now works with DPP. Make sure you upgrade the datafile to the A4.2
its just a power issue... the DPP twin starts pulling too much power and most meters cant handle it.. or shut down because they think something is wrong
