I am about ready to order Dish and was wondering if anyone has a referral code that they could provide me?

Are they still doing that stupid referral program after all these years?

I would actually like to find someone who actually referred someone and did their job to actually earn the referral credit.

AT&T was smart and get rid of their refer a friend program a few years ago because every referral was a scam

I've received several referrals over the years. Three referrals gets you a Polk Audio soundbar and subwoofer I believe. Last referral I got, I redeemed it for 20 ppv movie credits. Pretty awesome.

When I decided to switch back to Dish someone here PM'd me a referral and I got a $5 monthly credit for 10 months. Since when is saving $50 stupid?

I’m happy with the referral savings I’ve gotten over the years.

Sent from my iPhone using SatelliteGuys App. For now.

I got a Sony Ps/4 game unit in 2016 from giving friends referrals. PLUS we each got monthly discounts for some time on our subs. Pretty darn good deal for all of us.

I ended up selling the Ps/4 for $400, bought a lifetime Tivo Roamio basic with the money, and canceled Dish a bit later due to their never-ending price increases, LOL.

They basically paid me to cancel, AND I got a "free" Tivo for OTA use...

    Was that me? :)

I haven't used any referrals in over a year and miss the savings.

I’ve taken advantage of it a couple times and ended up with a free XBox One that my kids are currently playing Minecraft on... so...

    It’s not.

But that was my whole point, the person who sent you the code was on the right place at the right time.

Reminds me when I was at a new dish install about 15 years ago, and here comes the neighbor running over with a referral certificate to give to my customer.

At the time the referral code was a $50 credit for each customer. The new customer got the $50 activation fee waived and the referring customer got a $50 credit.

So meanwhile, the neighbor just cost me $50 because they happened to see my van in the customers driveway.

Yeah, I had to give me customer $50 off. I wasn’t happy, but I never applied the referral certificate because the paperwork was already done at that point.

That neighbor must have called me for 4 months looking for their credit, until finally I told her she was supposed to refer her friend to Dish and not just be in the right place at the right time.

Last I heard she was reporting me to Dish. Oh well.

Not that I had an issue with a referral code, but I was not about to put up with it being added at the last minute and didn’t want to go drive back to the store to rebuild the account to loose $50 which I ended up eating anyways because I didn’t collect the processing fee.

The activation fee is usually a fee charged by retailers that has nothing to do with Dish... I am confused by this post.

I got a referral code from a neighbor when I switched to Dish. He got $100 and I got $100 of credits. I got mine in $10 off a month. Last week I gave a referral code to my brother and we got the same deal. This time I may do the 20 free movies, but I have a question. Are any and all of the movies free and how long will this last?

That is a great question, reubenray! With our Refer A Friend program, you can always choose to get 12 Pay-Per-View Movies instead of the credit to your bill. With this offer, standard PPV certificate rules apply so you can choose any $6.99 PPV Movie and the expiration dates for the certificates can be found on your MyDish account under "My Pay-Per-View Certificates." -- Sam F

I’m talking 15 years ago there used to be a $49.99 activation fee with every order collected by Dish

Who cares about 15 years ago? 21 years ago I had to pay for all of my equipment and installation. I’ve had a ton of freebies since. ;)
