I am currently a Dish Network subscriber but am mad at them, so I am switching to DirectTV, which will be installed Friday.

I am just wondering if a Dish Network Sat. dish can be used with DirectTV. I know they will give me a new DirectTV dish, I am just wondering if they are compatible anyway.

Thanks for any info!

Sure....

after you dismount the dish, tie a rope to it and drag it behind your car for a while. Have some fun trashing the dish.

Just use a long enough rope that the thing doesn't hit your car when it bounces.

Your other option is to disguise it as a fire hydrant for local dogs.

Maybe, If you have a plain-old legacy single lnb dish, but that will get you access to only one satellite (you may need another for your locals). Anything dishpro will not work at all with directv equipment. Best thing though is take the new dish and sell your old system on ebay:)
