I am only 1 hour north of the border by North Dakota.
It seems I cannot get above 65 SS on most TP on both 119 and 110.
Some dip below 45 SS witch causes extreme pixalation. On Fargo locals I get 99 SS due to being spot beamed I suppose.

I have a 18x24 3lnb dish. Do I need a bigger dish? I have a clear view of the sky with no trees in the way.
What SS do Canadians get with Dish Network?

Use a Dish 500 instead, if all you're receiving is 110/119. The 20" (extra 2" over 18") makes a big difference. About 8-12 signal points on average.

If you're subbing to HD, get a second Dish 500 for 61.5W. The 12530 MHz transponder seems much weaker than the others, and it carries some of the better movie channels.

He's already using a 24"x 18 dish which is larger than the Dish 500. I'm guessing a Dish 500 or 1000 PLUS might be your next logical step for 119/110. or 110/119/129.
Measures 30.9"W x 23.8"H

See ya
Tony

Actually, the 18x24 is onnly 18" tall. It's 24" wide. The Dish 500 is 20" tall. The wider surface area of the 18x24 allows for more birds to be reflected into the LNBs.

It's no better than using a single 18" dish for each bird.

I have to disagree with you on this one. AFAIK The 1000.2 dish is no taller than a standard 500 dish, yet i always get much higher signal strengths for 119, and 110 than I do with a standard dish 500. Perhaps it is indeed taller though. I do not remember the exact dimensions of any of the dishes.
