Howdy folks,
I have a thomson saginaw actuator that i have some questions about. I was under the impression that it uses a hall effect sensor, but in talking with the folks at skyvision they informed me it was a reed switch. How can i tell the difference?
Thanks in advance :-D

They make both types.

You have to open up the motor housing and take a look. If you don't see a Reed sensor or switch, it uses a Hall sensor.
