DPP44 or D1000.2

Hi, I currently have two Dish 500's 110/119 and 129 with a DPP Twin on the 129. The 110/119 connects to the 129 (DPP Twin) and the two coaxs from it connect to my receivers. I have a 622 and a 625. I would like to add a 322 to my system for two more rooms. Money aside, would it be better to switch out the two Dish 500's for a D1000.2 or add a DP44 to the two connections off of the DPP Twin?

I am new to this stuff, but have been reading a lot and haven't found an answer. Thanks for the help!

Either of them will work fine. D1000.2=4 orbitals, 3 receivers; DPP44=4 orbitals, 4 receivers.

If you think you might need a fourth receiver connection in the future, DPP44 is the way to go.

If DPP44, you need a connection from every orbital location and the input on the DPPTwin is disabled.

So if I went with the DPP44, I would un-connect the coax that runs from the 110/119 dish to the 129 dish and connect it to the DPP44 and connect the 129 dish connections to the DP44 also?

Also, if I use a D1000.2 does it matter which of the 3 outs get connected to the HD receiver? And does the d1000.2 point in much of a different direction than the other two?

Again thanks for the help!

No. (I think you had the right question, but meant to say 110/119 instead of 129.)

You will run 2 cables from the DPP Twin to the DPP-44 Input 1 and 2. This will default to Sat 119 on Port 1, and 110 on Port 2.
You will then take the 129 cable, disconnect it from the DPP Twin and connect it to the DPP-44 Input 3.
Also, if I use a D1000.2 does it matter which of the 3 outs get connected to the HD receiver?
You should be able to run a single cable from any of the 3 outputs to any of the receivers. Just use a DPP Separator to feed the Receivers' 2 Sat Inputs when using a single cable from a DPP LNBF or DPP Switch (DPP44)

As Pepper said.
- If you think you may need 4 receivers in the future, invest in the DPP-44 for your current 2 dishes.
- Depending on where you live, keeping the single dish for 129 may be a better option; especially if later you have to switch it to 61.5.

And does the d1000.2 point in much of a different direction than the other two?
Without looking up the specific Azimuth for each dish/orbital location.... In general, you will probably point a Dish 1000.2 about 1/8" to 1/2" more to the west than the Dish 500 for 119/110; and it definitely will be a little more to the east than the Dish 500 for 129. And of course, it will have a different Skew and Elevation.

Thanks Smitty, you are correct, I looked at my setup last night and the 129 is feeding into the 110/119 DPP Twin dish. I live in South-Eastern Washington State. I will probably go with the D1000.2 as it is a cleaner looking install which always scores points with the Wife.

Thanks for all the help.
