DVD recording

I am getting a dvd recorder for Xmas, and was wondering if there are any IR blaster codes for Panasonic dvd recorders for automatic recording like I currently do with my VCR. There are no codes listed in the manuals. Thanks.

I have a Pioneer DVD recorder hooked up to my 811. I always select the movie or show that I'm going to record and set up a timer to turn to the channel automatically. I then set my recorder to start recording at that time. Since I always leave my receiver on anyway it works out fine.
